Service Opportunities

Jesus calls us to reach out and serve others in all that we do. One component of the Youth Ministry Program is learning to actively live our faith, through service. There are several local service opportunities throughout the year, including participation in Crop Walk, 30 Hour Famine, soup kitchens, etc.
Our annual Senior High service trip is a week-long summer trip to volunteer with the Appalachia Service Project, an emergency home repair organization that serves the Central Appalachian region. We raise funds throughout the year, and meet in the early spring as well as upon our return, to prepare for and process this trip. Last year, we traveled to McCreary County, Kentucky, from July 18-25, 2015.  This summer's trip will be July 23-30, 2016.
Our biggest fundraiser for this trip is our annual ASP Country Picnic. This year's picnic is Sunday, March 13, 2016. ASP youth lead worship, followed by a lunch & auction at 11:30am.
Our Junior High Service/Fun day takes place in June each summer.
